Set on a beautiful wooded property in Duxbury, our children explore gardens and meadows, grow their own food, practice daily yoga, learn Spanish through songs and puppetry, and discover a genuine love of learning that carries them far beyond kindergarten.
Every fee is included in tuition. No fundraisers. No solicited donations. Just exceptional education — recognized by Harvard University for outstanding early childhood practice.
One to five-day attendance options, with half-day and full-day choices to match your schedule.

Our morning session captures children’s peak energy and focus, with Montessori work time, outdoor exploration, and group learning.
Monday through Friday
Afternoon sessions provide a relaxed, creative pace — perfect for families who prefer a later start to the day.
Monday through Thursday
Our richest experience: a full day of Montessori work, outdoor time, lunch, yoga, and the extended curriculum including Spanish and cooking.
Available with any half-day
Stay for lunch and midday activities. Our certified nutritionist prepares organic, non-GMO meals — included in tuition, no donations needed.
Lisa Driscoll’s arts-based language program uses puppets, songs, and instruments to build early fluency joyfully.
Daily yoga instruction for ages 2–5, led by Sonia Kelly, a certified instructor trained for early childhood.
Included in the four-day curriculum. Children learn hands-on cooking guided by a certified child nutritionist.
Daily time in woodsy paths, gardens, and meadows, plus monthly in-house field trips with community visitors.

B.A. Williams College. Blue River parent since 2006; joined faculty in 2016 with a passion for math, science, and early literacy.
Elementary Education, UMass Amherst. Five years preschool teaching experience in Boston before joining the Blue River family.
M.Ed. Lesley University, B.A. UMass Amherst. EEC-Certified Lead Preschool Teacher with 15 years of K–1 classroom experience.
M.A. Early Childhood Education, Wheelock / Boston University. EEC Lead Certified. A decade of PreK–6 teaching experience.
10 years at Blue River. Leads an arts-based language program using puppets, songs, instruments, and games to make Spanish unforgettable.
M.S.W. Boston University. 20+ years supporting children and adolescents. Specializes in ADHD, anxiety, and trauma. In-person and telehealth.

We welcome children ages 2–5 into a small, nurturing environment. Our strict small-class-size policy means spots fill quickly — we encourage families to apply by January for the upcoming school year.
Summer program enrollment opens in February. Weekly tours are available by appointment.
